Note on Version Support
Early versions of Magento 2.x went through rapid changes. Many of the Magento platform releases prior to Magento 2.3.4 are not backwards compatible, and as a result we've optimized the integration for the Magento 2 versions listed above. Recent releases bring welcome improvements to speed and stability.
- Each release gradually addresses known issues in Magento and adds new functionality.
- Existing integration clients can continue to use their existing Magento 2 version.
- Versions prior to 2.3.4 are not supported for new integration accounts.
Existing Magento 2 Stores
For users with existing Magento 2 stores containing any non-test products or orders, please read our Existing Store Setup guide before you proceed with integration setup.

Setup Sales Taxes
The default Tax Mode for Magento 2 integration is "Match on Tax Code Name". In this mode taxes must have the exact same name in each system. The following setup steps apply to the default mode. More information about other Tax Modes can be found here.
Important: Heartland Retail users will still need to setup taxes in Magento 2, but do not need to worry about matching them against POS.
