Accumula integrates your item and grid data from Heartland Retail to your other sales channels, simplifying your inventory management. This reduces the time needed to manage your inventory and automates many processes. With Accumula, you can:
- Publish grids and items from Heartland Retail to your other channels
- Update grids and items in your other channels
- Sync Inventory to your other channels
Saved changes made to items in Heartland Retail will update automatically in your other channels based on your settings. This includes changes to item information, grid information, and inventory levels.

Heartland grids play an important role in merchandising your ecommerce products so take care to use them as needed when creating new items. The number of grid dimensions will determine how the grid will be created in the destination system. Items that are not part of grids can match successfully during onboarding but new un-gridded items will be created individually in the destination system. Here are a few examples:
IMPORTANT: Grids are required for proper publishing to Ecommerce. If your items are not setup in Grids in Heartland Retail, Accumula will attempt to match to existing products by Item # when the integration is first onboarded. If no match is found, a new un-gridded product will be created with the attributes of a single item.
A unique Description and/or Short Description is recommended for single items and grids. Unique descriptions help with product identification and troubleshooting and are best practice when merchandising online to help customers recognize products.
Item # (aka SKU) is required for each of your items. Some systems rely on a unique Item # and will not function properly without one. Unique Item numbers are required for matching Heartland Retail to existing ecommerce stores.
Special Characters are often unsupported in SKU fields for many POS or ecommerce solutions. Heartland supports slashes / dashes - and periods . for item numbers. If you're using Magento 2 the / character should be avoided in the item number and SKU fields as it will cause sync errors.
IMPORTANT: If you are integrating to an existing system that already has inventory, the Heartland Retail Item # will be matched to SKUs in that system to find a unique link. If the Item # and SKU do not match, a duplicate product may be created.
One of the supported tags is required for each of your items and grids to sync to Shopify or Magento. Be sure you have applied the "accumula" tag to the Tags field of all grids and single items you desire published online. The "shopify","magento", "webstore", and "online" tag will have the same effect.
Pricing - Current Price and Online Price
Currently, Price mapping is set to Current Price and Online Price. If Online Price is populated, it will display as the Sale Price in Ecommerce, and Current Price will appear as the Regular or "Compare at" Price. Learn more about Shopify Pricing and Magento Pricing.
