Magento users have the power to manage inventory in Magento using features triggered by tags or keywords in Point of Sale. Accumula Feature Tags are applied to products in POS and alter how the product is updated in Magento.
"instock" tag or keyword
In some cases, you may want a product in Magento to always appear as in stock, regardless of whether the product is in inventory. For instance, if the product is normally drop-shipped or is a special order product.
By placing "instock" in the tags or keywords field in POS, Accumula sets the manage stock setting of the product in Magento to “No”. This ensures that the product appears as in stock at all times.
Important Notes:
- Either "instock" or "In Stock" can be used in Lightspeed Onsite POS.
- The tag must be applied to the items/products which have inventory in POS, and not to the parent matrix/configurable itself.
- Magento Products with a Manage Stock setting of "no" ignore inventory updates sent via the API. Any QTY value previously stored in Magento may remain in the Magento database.
Example in Lightspeed Onsite
Example in Lightspeed Retail
Result in Magento > Product > Inventory
Note: The product can be returned to regular stock management by removing the "instock" tag/keyword from the product and saving.
