If your business is located in an area that mandates Tax Inclusive Pricing, you can utilize Tax Inclusive Pricing by adjusting settings in Magento, LightSpeed Onsite, and the Upload tab of the Channels Settings Pane. First, be sure that your Tax Settings are set correctly in the Channels Settings Taxes tab:
When using Tax Inclusive Pricing, Tax Mode should be set to Match Tax Code Name and Pricing Source should be set to Tax Inclusive on the Upload Page:
In Magento, there are several tax settings that must be adjusted. Please consult your Magento Developer.
First, the Names of the Magento Tax Rates must match the names of your Sales Tax in Point of Sale. Create a Tax Rate for each Country your company collects taxes in. Each Tax Rate Name must match the name of the Sales Tax in Point of Sale exactly (ie. EU or VAT). Some default Magento Tax Rates may include a wildcard * that is populated by zip code (ie. FR-TX-*-Rate 1). The * will block matching so must be removed from the Tax Rate Name.
We also recommend setting the following settings in System > Configuration > Tax:
In Lightspeed Onsite
If using LightSpeed Onsite, go to Tools > Setup > Basics > Taxes and make sure that “Show Specialized Tax Features” and “Tax Inclusive Prices” are checked, and press “Save”. We recommend also using the “Recommended Calculation” method:
NOTE: If your store will be selling Internationally to other Countries that have different tax structures, it may be necessary to further customize these settings and your Magento store to ensure that taxes are calculated properly.
