DataTools for Lightspeed Retail can add up to five images per item in each import/update. Lightspeed Retail supports a total of up to twelve images total per item. Images can be imported from URLs when using our DataTools Item Import Template with DataTools. The process is Add only, Deleting images must be done within Lightspeed Retail.
Please refer to the instructions for updating existing items or importing new items to ensure the process goes smoothly.
IMPORTANT! You will be importing to your active Lightspeed Retail database. Lightspeed Retail does not have a backup function, so be sure that all of your data is prepared properly before importing. Check it 3 times. We urge you to do a small test of 2-3 products before performing a large import.
To include photos in the DataTools Item Import Template:
- Locate and copy the URL location of where each image is hosted.
- Paste the URL location information into the import template.
