When checking the Current Users pane in Lightspeed Onsite, there may sometimes appear to be multiple Channels Users accessing Lightspeed at once. This is incorrect and a known issue in Lightspeed caused by a bug in Lightspeed. Channels is technically unable to use more than one Lightspeed user license at a time.
The appearance of multiple users is caused by interface bug in Lightspeed that displays multiple instances of API Users while reading data. These Users are read-only and do not use a Lightspeed User License. Most of the time, data is only being read.
Channels only uses a Lightspeed User License when writing data such as Invoices, Orders, or Customers to Lightspeed.
