The Customer on each order is matched by email address to the existing Customers in the Lightspeed Onsite. Their shipping and billing address information in the Point of Sale is updated with the shipping and billing information on the Ecom Order. This allows you to keep a complete customer purchase history within Lightspeed Onsite.
If a Customer uses a different email address for their Shopify account than the email
address in Point of Sale, a new Customer card will be created when the order is
NOTE: Lightspeed Onsite does not support a Shipping Name for Customers
