The product upload/update process occurs in 5 steps governed by the Connector Settings. The process happens in the following order:
Order Download occurs after Products have been synced. Therefore, Upload/Update of Products must complete before Orders can download to your Point of Sale.
A new sync between Shopify and the Channels Cloud is attempted 3 minutes after the most recent sync finishes. Sync time is primarily determined by the number of products to be uploaded or updated in the sync. By adjusting various Connector Settings to Off, you can shorten this process.
We recommend turning Update Images OFF when possible. This Step has the biggest impact on sync time.
In some cases, the Connector may receive an error from Shopify during the upload/update process. Depending on the severity of the error, the error may cause the Upload/Update process to start over. This is part of why we recommend working with products in groups of 500 or less at a time
