Accumula syncs continuously with Lightspeed Onsite, retrieving any data with a Modified Timestamp more recent than the last Sync.
When creating products in Lightspeed Onsite the workflow you use for creating your products is very important. Once a product is web enabled it may sync even if it is otherwise incomplete.
Our support team recommends the following workflows to ensure products are only synced to your ecommerce solution when they're ready.
Matrix Products
- Create your Master Matrix product leaving "Sell Online" or "Sell on Lightspeed Webstore" unchecked. Fill out all necessary details, again, without clicking "Sell Online" or "Sell on Lightspeed Webstore".
- Save.
- Create Child Products.
- Set Matrix product to "Sell Online" or "Sell on Lightspeed Webstore".
- Set Child products to "Sell Online" or "Sell on Lightspeed Webstore".
IMPORTANT: Not following the suggested workflow may result in products being created incorrectly online.
Single Products
- Create a Single Product leaving "Sell Online" or "Sell on Lightspeed Webstore" unchecked. Fill out all necessary details, again, without clicking "Sell Online" or "Sell on Lightspeed Webstore"
- Click "Save".
- Set the product to "Sell Online" or "Sell on Lightspeed Webstore".
Warning: Avoid Duplication
Products created via Duplication will lead to an inconsistent sync for those items. Please do not create products via duplication.
Bulk Create / Update
Lightspeed allows products to be created via Lightspeed Import Tools:
- Backup Lightspeed.
- Import new products without a Web Enabled status.
- Confirm the import was successful.
- Import and Update the products to set "Web" to "Y" or "Yes".
We recommend importing no more than 500 lines at a time to ensure that other updates can sync between batches of product updates.
