It takes just a few minutes to setup Accumula integration for Lightspeed Retail. For successful integration be sure to complete each step. You can also
contact our Support Team for additional assistance.
Authorize Accumula to Connect
If you're
using Shopify follow the invite link sent to your email to create your account. Then follow the prompts to authorize the data audit tool to connect to Lightspeed and Shopify. No data will transfer until the audit is complete and you've had at least the first meeting with your onboarding specialist.
If you're using Magento your onboarding specialist will need admin access to Lightspeed and Magento to configure your integration. They will contact you to gather those details.
Enable Web Store Fields
If your store is in North America and the web store tab is not visible in the item detail screen, please contact the Accumula Support Team who will request that Lightspeed enable web store fields on your behalf. The web store tab enables access to fields for short description, long description, and weight.
Note: You do NOT need a Lightspeed Ecom or Webstore subscription.

Note: Lightspeed Retail does not support Web Store fields outside of North America.
Setup Sales Taxes
Navigate to Settings > Sales Taxes > Tax Rates. Create a new Sales Tax called "No Tax" with a rate of 0%.

Shopify users can use Match on Tax Rate mode, and need no further Lightspeed tax setup.
For Magento users, the name of your Sales Taxes must match the Tax Rate Names in your Magento server. See Magento - Match on Tax Code Name.
Setup Default Sales Taxes for Each Shop
Please make sure that each shop in your account has a default sales tax. A default Sales Tax of "None" will not work. Use the "No Tax" rate you setup in the last step.
- Navigate in Lightspeed to Settings > Shop Setup.

- In Each Shop's Settings: Select a Sales Tax and press save.

Check your Item Data
If you wish items to appear as variants/options on the same product page online, the items should be setup in a Matrix. More info about item setup can be found here:
Lightspeed Retail - Inventory Management.
Important: Shopify Products with multiple variants must be setup in Matrices in Lightspeed to ensure proper variant/product links are established. Not doing so prior to onboarding can lead to duplicate products or inconsistent products updates.
Important: If connecting to an existing Magento site refer to
Existing Magento Stores.
Add "accumula" tag to Items and Matrices
For any product that doesn't yet exist in Shopify that you want to sync, add the "accumula" tag to the item in Lightspeed. For items in a Matrix, the Matrix must be tagged in addition to the options (colors, sizes) within it.
For Magento accounts, any product that you want to sync (new or existing) must be tagged "accumula". This includes items (simple products) and item matrices (configurables).
Note: "shopify", "webstore", "online", or "magento" tags will also work, but do not add more than one of these tags. You can add tags to Lightspeed in bulk using Accumula Data Tools, as needed (
ItemMatrix update via Data Tools - see more here).
