Before any other apps can be enabled, Accumula must sync your point of sale. It takes just a few steps to setup Lightspeed Retail integration with Accumula. For successful integration, be sure to perform each step in order. You can also Schedule a Setup Call with our Support Team. Let's begin here:
- Enable Web Store Fields
If your store is in North America and the Web Store Tab is not visible in the Item Detail Screen, please contact the Accumula Support Team who will request the Web Store fields be enabled. This will enable the Ecommerce fields for items and itemmatrices in Lightspeed Retail including Short Description, Long Description, Weight, etc. You do NOT need a Lightspeed Ecom or Webstore subscription.
NOTE: Lightspeed Retail does not support Web Store fields outside of North America. The ItemMatrix or Item Description will be mapped to the Shopify Product Title by default and Shopify Description managed in Shopify.
- Setup Sales Taxes
First - make sure that each Shop in your account has a Default Tax selected by going to Settings > Shop Settings and selecting a Default Sales Tax and pressing save.
Once this is complete, Navigate to Settings > Sales Taxes > Tax Rates and create a new Sales Tax called "No Tax" with a rate of 0% then follow instructions for your region of the world. The name of your Sales Taxes must match the Tax Rate Name in your Ecommerce solution (see Shopify - Match On Tax Code Name or Magento - Match on Tax Code Name)
American Stores - Be sure you have Sales Tax setup for each State you have a brick and mortar location in. The name of your Sales Tax must match the Tax Rate Name in your Ecommerce solution.
Canadian Stores - Be sure you have a unique Sales Tax setup for each Province individually (ie. AB, BC, QC, etc). The name of your Sales Tax and Tax Rate must match the Tax Rate Name and Tax Rate in your Ecommerce solution.
International Stores - The name of your Sales Tax must match the Tax Rate Name in your Ecommerce solution.
Taxes as a Line Item Mode - Taxes as a Line Item mode provides more exact tax calculation but more complicated reporting. You can change the Tax Mode in Accumula to "Taxes as a Line Item" and then create a Sales Tax in Lightspeed called "Shopify Taxes"(or "Magento Taxes", if you using Magento) and "No Tax" with a 0% tax rate. If you have Pro Plan or above, you may set Shopify to calculate taxes automatically in Shopify.
Check your Item DataIf you wish items to appear as options on the same Product page, the items should be setup in a Matrix. More info about item setup can be found here: Lightspeed Retail - Inventory Management
IMPORTANT: If connecting to an existing Ecommerce store, refer to Existing Shopify Stores or Existing Magento Stores before turning on your Shopify or Magento Integration.
Add "accumula" Tag to ItemsMake sure that all items you want published in your Ecommerce system have the "accumula" tag applied to the item). This includes both Items and their ItemMatrices, if they have one.
NOTE: "shopify", "webstore", or "magento" tags will also work, but do not add more than one of these tags. You can bulk add tags using Accumula Data Tools, as needed (ItemMatrice update via Data Tools - see more here).
IMPORTANT: Existing Stores be sure to double-check this, items and itemmatrices not tagged with webstore or shopify may result in existing products and variants being removed or hidden from your Ecommerce store.
Authorize Accumula to ConnectLog into Accumula to authorize the Accumula Platform to connect to Lightspeed Retail. In Accumula, goto Apps > Lightspeed Retail and follow the prompts to authorize Accumula to connect to Lightspeed Retail.NOTE: An Admin level Lightspeed User login is required when authorizing Accumula to connect to Lightspeed.Depending on number of Items and Customers in your system, the initial sync of data may take several hours or even a day to complete. You will receive an email when the sync is complete.
NOTE: If you have multiple Shop Locations in Lightspeed Retail but are only integrating inventory and orders with one Lightspeed Shop, you must also set the Master Store setting when autorizing. If Multistore Order Routing is enabled, Sales will be downloaded into Locations based on Store Priority and Inventory Availability.
Start SyncingYou may now select other Apps from the Accumula App Menu and authorize Accumula to connect them.
Once other apps are enabled, data will start flowing in your integrations. Accumula will publish any items and itemmatrices set to "Sell on Web" to your Ecommerce store. Existing products and variants will be matched to your items and itemmatrices in Lightspeed and updated based on your settings.
