Shopify Variant Options are created whenever a product is published to Shopify. Channels creates the following settings by Default:
1. Products with 1 Variant (Single Products) will have 1 Option titled "Title" with a value of "Default".
2. Products with Multiple Variants (Matrix Products) may have Option1 “Color”, Option2 “Size”, and Option3 "3rd Attribute", depending on how their Matrix is configured in point of sale.
NOTE: If you choose to remove your Variant Options, please be sure to turn Update Color and Update Size Off in Accumula settings. Variant updates will be rejected by Shopify otherwise.
Editing Options
You may edit the Variant Options manually within Shopify. The edit settings be found under the product's Variants section in Shopify by clicking "Edit options".

Editing Option Names
You may override the default option names by editing the Variant Option names by clicking "Edit options" and typing the new value into the Name fields.

You may choose to rename either or both fields to the name of your choosing (ie. Color/Length, or Size/Width).
Removing Options
Accumula users on Startup (formerly Pro) Plan or above may also choose to remove Variant Options entirely or to have only one field appear. For instance, if you wanted to only show “Color” options and all products are the same size you would remove the “Size” Variant Option from the product within Shopify as in the example below using the Trash Can icon.
When removing options, you must set Update Size and Update Color to Off in settings, to avoid errors.

NOTE: The only way to add a new Variant to an existing Product that has had Options removed is to delete the existing Shopify Product then resave the Matrix or Grid in POS.
