Product Option Settings support advanced product features for SKU Remapping, Pricing, Weight Units, Image Alt Text, and Archived Product Action. The options vary somewhat depending on the point of sale you are using.
Below are the preset settings for Lightspeed Retail users on Basic Plan. Users with Startup (formerly Pro) Plan and above can adjust these settings:
SKU Source
SKU Source determines which product data field from point of sale will be sent to the Shopify Variant SKU field. This helps differentiate between products and match between systems. The choices are:

Archived Product Action/Non-Current Product Action
- CustomSKU/Product Code
- UPC
- Manufacturers SKU (Lightspeed Retail)
- SystemID/ProductID (the auto-generated ID for the product in point of sale)
Set Price and Set Compare At Price
Set Price and Set Compare At Price determine which pricing levels from point of sale will map to Variant Price and Variant Compare At Price in Shopify. This setting gives you control over Sale Pricing in Shopify and includes pricing logic. Compare at Price should generally be the Higher Price.

If the pricing level for Price equals 0, Compare At Price will appear in Price. If Price and Compare At Price are the same, no sale pricing will appear.
Pricing Levels from Lightspeed Retail will show up in both dropdown menus. Lightspeed Retail users default to Price=Default and Compare At Price=MSRP. Lightspeed Onsite users default to Price=Web Price and Compare At Price=Selling Price.

Weight Unit
Weight Unit determines the weight unit that will be assigned to the Variant Weight in Shopify. The are four standard options: g, kg, lb, and oz. A fifth option for legacy users is "None", which sends the weight value in grams and does not assign a weight unit. If Update Weight is set to Off, this setting has no effect.
Image Alt Text Source
Image Alt Text Source maps one of two different options to the image alt text of each product.
- First Option
This is the variant's first "Option" name. In most accounts this will be the color of the variant. For single products this will sync no Alt Text. - Web Short Description
This syncs the product's Web Short Description from POS to the image alt text.
Important: Image Updates AND Image Alt Text Updates must be enabled for Image Alt Text to sync at all.
Archived Product Action/Non-Current Product Action
This setting determines what action will be taken when a product in point of sale is marked archived/non-current or has the webstore tag removed/"Sell on Webstore" unchecked.
The name of this setting will appear differently depending on your POS solution.
Lightspeed Retail or Heartland users will see this setting as the "Archived Product Action".
Lightspeed Onsite users it will see this setting as the "Non-Current Product Action".
The options for this setting are Ignore, Hide, or Delete.
- Ignore
To protect against accidental deletions, the default setting is Ignore. In this case, no action is taken. - Hide
You may also have this setting Hide products; this allows you to easily identify any products that have not been setup properly then delete them manually from Shopify.
Note: Update Visibility must be enabled for the Hide action to work. If Update Visibility is not enabled the integration will act as if set to Ignore.
Note: This action will only impact Matrices or Single Products (products that are linked to Shopify Products). Shopify Variants are not impacted.
- Delete
If you would like changes to result in deletion of the product, you may set this to Delete. Be sure that all of your products are tagged or set to sell on webstore before choosing Delete.
Note: Product data manually added to Shopify is not saved by the integration. Please consider your risk of data loss before setting the integration to Delete.
