Lightspeed Retail - Sell Instore Gift Cards Online

If you aren't using Shopify Plus and enrolled in a Scale plan you can still sell instore gift cards online by following the steps below:

Create a Placeholder

To sell instore gift cards online create an "Instore Gift Card" matrix in Lightspeed Retail.  These matrix items will act as a placeholder for your instore gift cards when they're sold online.  In your ecommerce store, they will appear as a product with different denominations as variants or options. The instore gift card matrix should have the following settings:

• Type = Non-Inventoried
• Taxable = False
• Matrix Type = Size
• Sizes = the different Gift Card denominations you want to offer. We suggest creating several different 'sizes' for each: $25, $50, $100, etc.
• Tags = webstore for the matrix and all items/sizes.
  
  

Be sure that each Matrix Item is set to "Not Taxable" and has the "webstore" tag added so they publish to your online store. Here is an example of the Item Detail page.

Once you have successfully published your Instore Gift Card matrix online, you can start receiving sales.
