Data Tools - Updating Item Pricing Levels

 

Items Pricing Levels can be updated using the the Item Pricing Level Template. We recommend first running an export of Item Pricing Level data and editing the exported data for import. 

 

 

The following information is required for each Item Pricing Level update file:

Matching Field - Include information for the field that will be matched on for the existing items. Options include:

• System ID
• UPC
• Custom SKU
• Manufacturer SKU

The values must be a unique and exact match to avoid updating the incorrect item or a single item multiple times.

Description - Include the item Descriptions (names) from Lightspeed Retail in your import template. This must be an exact match to avoid changing the item description.

Important: Archived items cannot be updated and attempting to import updates to archived items will create duplicates.

Note: If this is your first import we recommend importing no more than 1-5 items on an initial import to confirm expectations.  It is easier to correct errors for 1-5 items if there are mistakes in your file.

Note: We recommend importing no more than 1000 items at a time.

Once the template has been set up it must be saved in CSV format.
