<Error><httpCode>400</httpCode><httpMessage>Bad Request</httpMessage><message>You can't refund that much in Migration Variance based on the customers original payment and other current and past refunds.</message><errorClass>SaleError</errorClass><saleID>(SALEID)</saleID></Error>
This is a Lightspeed Retail API Error that creates an incomplete sale. Your team must complete this sale for your records to be accurate.
Accumula directs this error to you with some additional details so that you can quickly find and complete the transaction.
Note: We have confirmed this error will only impact refunds.
A record of this notification can be found after logging in to Accumula.com by navigating to Logs > Lightspeed Retail > Notifications.
What it Means
This error means that Lightspeed's API was unable to apply a refund payment. We have confirmed that the payments are in fact valid, and can be applied manually within Lightspeed.
Note: There is a chance you may even encounter this error within Lightspeed when trying to apply a valid refund payment. If this happens, log out, log back in, and try again:
Solution
The notification provides a link to the incomplete sale so you can quickly navigate to and complete it. The sale must be completed manually, and this process provides you with the fastest way to manage these errors.
To manually complete these sales please:
- Navigate to the Incomplete Sale highlighted in the notification.
- Click "Continue sale".
- Issue refund payments that match the original payments in Lightspeed for the original sale.
- If a gift card was used as payment, ensure the same gift card serial number is refunded as necessary.
- Complete the Refund Transaction.
