Shopify - Discount Code Integration

Advanced Integration

With Shopify and Lightspeed Retail Cloud you can enable advanced discount code integration as part of our Growth plan.  This feature will sync more detailed discounts and discount codes from Shopify to Lightspeed.  Discounts will appear in the line item details and/or as a code applied to the sale in Lightspeed.

Additional Features

While discount code integration is enabled two additional features will be enabled to simplify the experience:

• Code Matching:  Codes will sync to Lightspeed Retail Cloud with the prefix, "WEB-".  If you've setup a matching Lightspeed discount code with the prefix ahead of time it will be matched to from Shopify.  This will reduce instances of duplicate codes in your POS.
• Archiving Codes:  Codes will be automatically archived in Lightspeed as they're disabled in Shopify.  This will help reduce clutter in your POS discount code menus.
  
  Important: Codes that are manually archived/deleted/disabled in Lightspeed will not be updated in Shopify and will cause sync errors if they're used online again.  They must be manually disabled in both systems if they're disabled in Lightspeed first.

Standard Integration

Heartland Retail Cloud users will see advanced discount code support is available.
Lightspeed Onsite users will see discounts represented by the "Shopify Discount" line item.

Standard integration plans will sync discounts to POS represented by the line item placeholder "Shopify Discount".

Note: Shipping Discounts will always be reflected in or by the Shopify Shipping line item instead.  Heartland Retail Cloud will reflect Shipping and Shipping discounts in the Shipping Price field.
