While integrated your point of sale acts as the master source for product and inventory data. After logging into your integration you can navigate to Apps > Magento to configure:
- Product Upload Settings
- Product Update Settings
- Product Options
Uploads
By default when products are first published, all product data, including images, will be sent. Magento 2 will match the product by SKU to existing products in the Magento 2 database. If Magento 2 finds a matching SKU no new product will be created, and the SKU will be queued for an update instead.
Important: SKUs that include special characters (# @ $ < > & *), and using SKUs that begin or end with spaces can prevent Magento 2 from processing the product sync request. The / character in particular will block subsequent update requests and should be avoided.
